K is for Kelpie

Kelpies are a water horse from Celtic mythology. They haunt rivers and lakes in Ireland, and try to get children to climb on their backs so they can take the kids to the river, drown them, and eat them. Fun!

  2. I was so hoping the eating children part was something I was misremembering when I saw the title of your post. But I suppose the kids might have a good time for the first few minutes... :)

    1. Yeah...it's creepy. Especially since horses are herbivores! But being enchanted before you get eaten has to be better than just getting plain ol' eaten, maybe?

    1. I don't think they're real. And if you can resist getting on their backs, you should be safe! Well, except in some cases you'll stick to them if you touch them. So maybe don't touch them, either!

  5. I think this has officially ruined "My Little Pony" for me forever. (Although that would make for an interesting episode. Hm.)
